Mr Ricks is a very approachable consultant who treated me with utmost respect and courtesy. The operation on my hand has been a great success and I was given the choice of having local or general anaesthetic, the choice of which would impact on the date the operation would take place. I opted for local! During the operation, I was made to feel relaxed, I was kept informed of what Mr Ricks was doing, and he and theatre staff were professional, comforting, and made me feel that I was an important patient in their care. I cannot commend Mr Ricks highly enough for bringing some relief to my hand and improving my quality of life. Superb. I am glad that I listened to Mr Ricks' advice about the anaesthetic and would wholeheartedly recommend any future patient to be guided by his knowledge and experience.

I have been receiving treatment from Matthew Ricks since 2020, everything that has been carried out to date has been very successful and I have regained full use and dexterity in all the fingers that he has operated on on my left hand. The right hand is still ongoing but is so much better than before. Matthew explained to me from the very beginning what, when and how was going to happen to my fingers during every stage of proceedings, I felt reassured and safe at all times and I have a lot of trust in his abilities.

Made me feel at ease through the whole journey. A very confident and caring man who is clearly very passionate about his work. The scarring left behind is very minimal and looks good cosmetically. I have almost full range of movement back in my finger now and it’s healed very quickly. Thank you so much.

My main positive about my experience with Mr Ricks is the time he takes to explain the procedure. Each appointment never feels rushed and always feels unhurried and clear. A clear expert in his field, I would not hesitate to recommend his service

Mr Ricks has a wonderful listening ear as he listened to all my problems regarding the discomfort pain etc with my wrist. He then explained to me what the reason for my painful wrist was and why it was causing so much discomfort and pain. He then explained what my operation would entail and asked me did I have any questions that I needed answering or any worries or concerns. Overall I am very pleased with Mr Ricks skills and manner.
